^^^^That song is awesome!!

The baby's doing great, and I found out today that someone else I know is pregnant. I was like dang, I just got rid of one pregnant woman.

Monday, I have to have a paragraph written on what my Engineering Project is going to be, and I have no clue what I'm doing. He said that the paper wasn't due until October 20, so I wasn't in any hurry to figure out what I was going to do. Now, I have two days to figure it out. I've had a lot of really cool ideas, but the problem is that everything I think of has already been invented. Like I thought about having this sensor in your car that would automatically roll your windows down an inch when it gets to a certain temperature inside your car, but they already have those. I also thought about side mirrors on a car that dim at night so headlights from other cars aren't beaming in your face, but they already have those, too. I guess I'm just too poor to know about all these cool car features, because I had never heard of these things before. I have an idea I'm playing with now. I think it's something that would be cool and not too hard to do. I just have to make sure it hasn't been done yet.

We're putting the paper out next week. We're almost done, but we're having trouble with some of our pictures because they're too small and we can't blow them up without them being blurry. So, hopefully we'll find some bigger pictures or figure out something before Monday.

Wow! I can't believe it's been a month. Anyway, I just got on to say that my mom had her baby today. It's a girl, and she weighs exactly 6 pounds and is 17 1/2 inches long. Oh, and her name is Cheyenne Nicole Mohawk.

Here are some pics.

Time is flying by right now. I go to school every day for seven hours, at least, and then on Saturday and Sunday, I go to work for at least seven hours. It sucks. I never get a day off to sit at home and be lazy. I can't wait for labor day. I'm going camping on the sandbar on Red River with some of my old friends. It's going to be awesome. Yesterday, sucked. School was ok, but before and after school just sucked. I'm not going to go into details on any of the events, because I'd rather just forget it all. My essay for English sucked. I had a really good idea for it, but she said we were going to read our classmates' essays and that one was kind of personal. So, I decided to right on something else, and it wasn't nearly as good of a topic. Then when we turned them in, she said that we weren't going to be reading them. That kind of pissed me off, because I could have done the other topic and had a much better essay. Anyway, right now I'm just trying to get this physics project done and read my book.

On a lighter note, the newspaper staff for this year is awesome. We only have five people, but everyone we have is great. It should be a much better year as far as that goes. Rifle team is looking pretty good, too.

So yesterday, I was at work and I was thinking that I hate my job. Then, I realized it's not my job I hate, it's my boss. The job doesn't bother me one bit, but my boss is the biggest jerk I've ever met. He has no people skills at all. He yells at everyone... even customers. At Golden Corral the customer is not always right, not if he has anything to say about it. Whenever you're around him, you're scared to say anything, because you never know how he will react. I'd hate to be in his family. He has two sons that work up there; one is 16 and one is 13, but I've barely heard either of them say a word. His wife comes up there sometimes and she never talks either. I figure after living with that guy they're scared to talk. His son is cute, but I'd never date him just because of his dad. I have to deal with him enough at work. Anyway, I got my first paycheck yesterday. I had 34 hours and I got $172 after taxes were taken out. Damn taxes! I could have had $200. My next paycheck will be more than that, because that was for a week and a half. Since Saturday, I've worked 31 hours. I still have today, Friday, and Saturday to get more hours. So, I'll probably have 49 hours for this week. We get paid every two weeks. So, my next check will be like twice the last one. However, when school starts I'll only be working about 25-30 hours a week, but making $6.00 an hour that will still be about a $300 check every two weeks.

I'm so tired. Some dogs were running down the street barking at 8:30 this morning and woke me up.

Wow, what an exhausting week. I'm ready for school to start just so I won't be working as much. They have been short on people to work in cold prep, so they put me back there last Monday. When you're back there, you are really working for your money, because you stay busy. You build some muscle working back there, too. I have muscle in places I didn't even know you could get muscle. Saturday night, I worked from 4 PM-12:30 AM. I thought I was going to pass out. Then, I burned the hell out of my arm getting some potatoes out of the oven. I was going to put a picture of the burn on here, but I decided not to because it's really gross. I'm never going to forget my first job, because I know that burn is going to leave a huge scar on my arm. I'm working on the front line tomorrow. I'm going to be so bored because it's always slow during the week, and I don't do half the work up there that I do when I'm in cold prep. There's one good thing about having a job like this... it makes you want to stay in school. 95% of the people that work up there are older people that will probably be working in places like that for the rest of their lives. I just can't imagine having to do that kind of crap for the rest of my life. There are only about four people up there that are in school; three are in high school and one is in college.

Anyway, today is my mom's birthday. I took her to eat last night, and my step-dad is taking her tonight. Her baby is due September 21, which is their wedding annivesary, and my mom is ready. Now she knows how bored I use to be when I sat around the house all day during the summer with nothing to do.
